* The main traffic rank in the Alexa toolbar is calculated from three months of aggregate traffic data

* The movers and shakers list based on changes in the average range in a week to week comparative basis

Other factors can affect your site Alexa ranking. Sites in the toolbar itself - such as http://amazon.com can rank. Heavy toolbar use in a particular region - like China - Chinese websites can increase to a high level.
